Photographer's Note

This one is one of my favorite houses of my neighborhood, in spring the oriental garden and the red lanterns are full of life and light. This kind of house is common in some of the streets of my neighbourhood Hochelaga-Maisonneuve which was the ancient town of Hochelaga. The neighbourhood was a workclass suburb until not long ago. Small chales as this one that look more like dools house are side by side with the factories. Recently the factories are little by little been transformed in modern lofts and new condominius and commerce is flourishing changing the neighbourhood profile, which is one of the poorest in Montreal. The poor still live in the neighbourhood, but as other parts of Montreal, misery is hideen and kind diluted almost everywhere in the city and so difficult to see from those who don't know how to recognize it.

Decided to post old winter pictures once this year the paysage here is quite different whith no snow, people seems to miss it here.

Picture was croped and color adjusted to reduce a little the blue.
