Photographer's Note

In 2004 coming back from our visit to the Monmorency falls we passed by Quebec City to fill the tank and find a little thing to eat. In our quick visit (my first to the city) we just had time to had a glimpse at the Frontenac Castle from the lower city and the colorful hotel buildings on the Saint Adre street in front of the city's port. The winter carnival just finished, left behind on the streets many of the ice sculpures built for the competition held during the festivities. I was taking pictures of one of the sculpures when I saw this 3 ladies passing by, the way they were holding each other and talking made me think about a trio of caracters of an sucessful brazilian soup-opera from the 70's that I quite liked at the time (os brasileiros com mais de 30 saberao do que estou falando).
