[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I came across this street portrait artist in Old Montreal. He worked under a big umbrella, whose pole is in the middle of the picture. He was painting the portrait of this girl, who happened to glance at my camera while I was taking the picture. I looked around a bit, but could not find the boy whose portrait was already finished. I'm guessing it was probably her brother.

On the left are some portraits of celebrities to show off the artist's skills, and for people to choose the style that they like. With the help of Davids, I have identified the portraits as follows:

Top: ???, Pierce Brosnan, Audrey Tautou; Rear: ???
Middle: Elvis Presley, Jack Nicholson, Jean Reno
Bottom: ???, Celine Dion, ???

Do you know who the others are?

Lamberto,

Streetphotography is not easy :) but the shot has some promises!
A lot is happening in the photo, the girl, the guy, the 'studio', the portraits and the background. To start with the last, it's uninteresting. I know, it's very hard to control, but it's a bunch of people looking away.
The portraits on the left and the girl are interesting, but the crop should have been tighter. Her feet are not that good, and the portraits can miss something, it is odten better to leave something unfinished, our brain is a machine that is constantly creating visions of something that is not there. If something is missing, it will try to create something; it's called fantasy and it helps people to find your photo's interesting.
For the rest -like I said- the photo shows us a promise; you. Try this again and again, look at the work of polonaise (George), ask him for help and LEARN TO GET CLOSE!

BTW, on the right of Nicholson is Jean Reno, under Nicholson Celine Dion and above Jean Reno Audrey Tautou :)

see you!
David

Hi Lamberto,

This is a really good street life picture.
I love the colors and the composition you've chosen.

Regards,

Eddie

A good idea for this well taken and composed picture Lamberto, really a nice work!!

have a nice day,
Fabio.

Hi Lamberto, nice capture of this artist at work, and you didn't just capture one portrait, but I count 12, with some filler people in behind. The composition is great but now I wonder, who is the girl looking at, the artist, or you?

Thanks, John

Hi Lamberto
As David pointed out, the photo isn't perfect but it shows quite well a street scene: the artist, the model, the celebrities and even the people in the BG that are looking at somewhere else (where? what are they looking at?) denoting that there is more life than the artist making their living.

Hi Lamberto,
It's very nice how you achieved to get so many portraits in a single shot ;-)
I like very much this composition.

Hi Lamberto. nice work showing us all these faces, the face of the sitter and the partially finished portrait AND the back of the artist who remains faceless, despite his days being filled with faces.Well seen and nicely captured. Regards. Klaudio.
