Taken 30 minutes before mon pays... before sunrise, which explains the darker colors. I also used a filter NDgrad 2-stops as the light on the sky was already present and getting more details on the farm this way.
Why a winter scene? Well, I worked all day in the garden, under the sun and felt in need of something refreshing.It was -14c on that day, with blowing snow and looking at it, I do feel refreshed.

No PP on this one.

I took many pictures this winter, so do not be surprised if I bring you a bowl of fresh air during the coming heatwaves.

J'ai pris cette photo 30 minutes avant cette photo , avant le lever du soleil, ce qui explique les teintes plus foncés.J'ai utilisé en plus du polariseur, un filtre NDgrad 2stop pour obtenir plus de détails de la ferme, car il y avait déjà une bonne luminosité dans le ciel.
pourquoi une scène d'hiver? je viens de passer la journée dans le jardin, sous le soleil, et j'avais besoin de me rafraichir, je me sent mieux déjà.
Il faisait -14c ce matin là, et il y avait aussi de la poudrerie.

Aucun PP sur cette photo.

J'ai pris beaucoup de photos cet hiver et ne soyez pas surpris si je vous apporte un bol d'air frisquet durant les prochaines canicules.

charles - i like your cold, lonely and dark photo. The house is well framed out in the middle of the snowy landscape, and the moon in the top right is a great addition!

Thank you. The heat from the early onset of summer is creaping in here in Beijing. I prefer the cold. I come from the heartlan of the United States - a middle state with a farmhouse scene like this brisk with snow. Thanks for a moment of time and mood. Very nice.

Hello Charles. Half a second was all it took to deliver this stunning image. I like this dreamy shot with the moon and the house balances well in the scene. The blue hour and fast shutter avoided the moon being burnt here. Excellent shot and very well done. Best regards. Jusni

Quel plaisir de découvrir ta petite merveille. On dirait qu'elle sort tout droit d'un livre pour enfants. La lumière, le bleu, le toit blanc, tout est enchanteur.

ggrrrr..this place indeed look very cold! i especially like the
'lonely/sleepy' colors of the place with the moon adding life to the compo. and i learn something here, using a polarizer in a non-sunny milieu that i thought would make the capture much darker...:-( but instead, giving, to borrow your word, a refreshing sight appeal.

Salut Charles, belle photo de l'hiver Canadienne! C'est vraiment refrechissante, mais surtout une belle photo, avec le contraste entre le toit, la neige et le ciel.

tu sais que j'aime tant ce genre de paysage, cette immensité. Ici je suis d'accord avec Marc, on dirait une image pour un livre d'enfants, il y a une ambiance et des couleurs magiques. Et cette lumière qui enveloppe le tout sous la lune...tout simplement très beau.

Bonjour Charles, elle est superbe cette photo, j'aime aussi l'hiver avec ces blancheurs de la neige et le froid qui éveille les sens, ce cliché est remarquable et ne te surprend pas si l'hiver prochain j'essaie ce genre de photos à mon tour car elle est magnifique.

You posted something like this before and i was very impressed by the result back then. And seeing this one i still am. What a lonesome world, or better said the end of the world. It would be perfect when the moon was at the top left, but you can't have it all. A great shot Charles, really good work.

Charles, this is stark and contrasty and beautiful. The exposure is perfect, it maes me squint and stare which is exactly what I would so standing in the snow looking a the barn, great capture.

T'as mis le ND en plus du pola ? en tout cas reveler plus de details au niveau du sol etait une tres bonne idee, ca permet a la fermette de luire dans l'immensite froide, une photo a apprecier pleinement en pleine canicule du mois d'aout ;-)

Cette photo est superbe. Cette couleur bleue du petit matin qui envahit toute l'image donne vraiment une ambiance terrible à toute l'image. Beau positionnement de la maison dans l'ensemble de la photo et une mention pour le petit détail qui compte aussi: cette petite lune dans le haut de l'image. Bravo.

what a wonderous image. I'm sitting here and in awe with the loneliness that this images transpires. It seems to me that the title that you wrote on the bottom of your pstcard presentatio nis the better one than the TE title. I love the detail of the moon and that is all the difference that makes this such a great shot. I have to agree with Henk that for the grpahical effect that moon would be better in the left corner but I also agree with you that the moon should be where it was in reality and not faked through PP.
