Photographer’s Note
THIS PHOTO IS TAKEN BY MY 10 YEAR OLD SON MICHAEL.
It is a photo of Ottawa River Bridge, looking from Parliament Hill towards Quebec, taken during our trip to Ottawa last week.
We both would appreciate comments and critiques.

Très beaux jeux d'ombre sur le pont engendré par les nuages... Un futur "pro" de la photo est né! ;-)

Your son has taken a very good photograph. The composition is great, especially including the green bush in the foreground, which frames the image very nicely.
Perhaps he might wish to have his own account, which I think he may enjoy.

I love the cool blue-grey and greens in this great composition. It is a view that I know quite well, having visited that area quite a few times. Your son did a great job, good composition and taken at a good angle to show the structure of the bridge.

For me what makes this photo very intersting is the light shed on the bridge: only the center of a relatively short bridge body and pillars are sunlit, both ends are in shadows, which is not puzzling when we look at the sky with also interesting clouds. This is what distinguishes this picture the most and makes it really nice, so that viewers like it not necessarila knowing why (you see - this was unmentioned by others). I would include it also to the Decisive Moment category. Congratulations!

Ok, I saw all your photos in your gallery. I can conclude that you are not one-eyed, Peter, and your son too... ;-) You may tell junior this shot is perfectly framed. Good use of the greenery in foreground to offer a good depth to the shot and excellent use of the bridge giving an excellent diagonal here. The exposure is bright and the POV pleasant. Hats Off!
