This is the Five Floors pyramid (Edificio de los Cinco Pisos), the main structure in the Great Acropolis of Edzná.
The term acropolis, employed in Greek architecture to designate an elevated or high city, here refers only to a series of enormous structures, erected upon a large base, without implying any kind of a relationship between the Maya and Greek cultures.
