Photographer's Note

The Atoning of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the best examples of Neo-Romanic architecture in the country. Construction on it began in 1891 and was finished in 1947. Work was suspended between 1912 and 1940, because of the revolutionary movement (civil war).
The structural model is the Sacre Coeur of Paris, and it is thus possible to find the two small frontal towers, as well as the great dome over the cross and the rose window on the main door.
