I see you were also taken by the hard shadows there! Not to mention the "perros callitos"...

Funny how the human graffiti is just a different way of expressing the same thing the dog's doing -- oh no, I thought he was peeing but he isn't. But he could be...

Hell Animesh. another great shot, this time with good prose! The almost gone bicycle shadow is great and you have framed yourself well between the building and the street light. the strong shadows are great. nice work.

Fantastic shot.

It looks great- the shadows are wonderful, but the graffiti is my favorite part. The wall is really bright, but I think it sets that morning mood you want. Nice work!

Rosie

Beautiful shadow composition... thanks for sharing.

Animesh,

Stunning shot. The high contrast between light and shadow is marvelous, as is the confluence of the dog and the human bicyclist's shadow. A really fine photo with a very nice text.

So many stories in your picture !!
i like colours and shadows of course
the road made of stones
i like the happyness of the moment !

ANother wonderful instalment in this top notch series, Animesh. Very clever use of the harsh light (a la Alex Webb maybe) you are not afraid of it or the resulting shadows. This is...photography - plus the plaimpsest aspect I love so much...how can you go wrong?
Cheers,
Francis

cool shot. I like it! Great compostion and lighting. Very clever. JP

i wish the dog were one step ahead.
oh, i´ve just read your exchange of messages with Narayan... then you´re in group... let me guess who the other photographer/s is/are :D... some of them were with you in Toronto?
well, i can´t help myself saying this series has a totally different mood if compared to another series of yours, lighter, sweeter.

Great shot Animesh - a real favourite - I like the dog stepping out of the shadow - as if it's another dimension or a black bag or something! The colour and shadow complexities and revelations are truly fantastic. As a once avid write of haiku and photo haiku to boot I guess I have to add one too!

collisions -
beneath the sun's hot eye
just passing sounds

oh, these shadows are great and so is the photo...you really can capture the right moment

hehhe i dont know if i like more this one from the previous
mm maybe i prefere this one
more to see
the shadow from bike is very well done here
and sure the dog is a plus
normaly i dont like see shadow from the photographer
but here i agree its work and contribute to make this picture ;o)
the mood of the photographer in the sunny morning
i like this serie Animesh

Hello Animesh,

There are two main things I remember from my visit to San Cristobal One is that angry locals wanted to beat me ( San Juan Chamula ) and we settled with 10 dollars after arguing, and second is the use of shades in the composition exactly as you did in this shot. There are in fact many possibilities to draw pictures with shades, provided the photographer who has to see and apply. Good job here. - Izzet

Hi,
i like this one from the previous as it seems to have an impossible interaction between the dog and the biker's shadows. Lovely compo.
Thanks Alain.

it was weeks I had to comment it, came across it a few times and each time had the same thought : this is a photo of a chrysalide. A newborn dog is getting out of its cyclist past life enveloppe. He must have been a very naughty cyclist, the kind who regularly takes blacklist amphetamins... or perhaps is dog life is on a higher scale than a cyclist's?

Anyway I love about everything : contrast, trichromia and of course timing. I'm also in a lighting & contrast mood thses last months. your photo is exactly the kind I need to see.
