Photographer's Note

All the towns are now lit up in preparation of Christmas, so here is my contribution towards it.
This is a sort of follow-up from my previous post , to give one more portrait of our local traditional boat.
Although the DALH-MAD can be seen in different places during the year, for Christmas, it comes back home where it belongs, i.e. LANDERNEAU.
As you can see, it is dressed up in its party outfits to celebrate the festive season with glory.

Notice the moon at the top of the mast. This is the emblem of the town : The de Rohan family were the masters here. When Louis XIV became king, they had to drop the Sun as their emblem, as this had been chosen by the king. So they chose the Moon.

May this Christmas season be a time when PEACE and LOVE will make progress at home and all over the world , for the coming New Year to be a better one !

WS1This used to be the Christmas decoration in Landerneau.
