Photographer's Note

These Golden Larches are 2000 years old!
The alpine Larch is native to Northwestern North America. Its also the only conifer species that loses its needles every year.

This is only a small sample of the Larch trees up on the hill side. It's a scene I captured on the Frosty Mountain Hike, a 16km journey in Manning Park.

I chose this viewpoint because of the mountains in the upper bg. It's well worth the effort to climb up this mountain, infact we plan on doing it again in a couple of months when it will be covered in snow.

Hope you like this one
