Photographer's Note

Nymphopetra means the stone of the Nymph or the stone of the bride. It's actually a place just 30 minutes from the city of Thessaloniki whose landmark is the rocks which are scattered in the area, rocks of different sizes and formations.According to a legend a young woman was getting married and as the wedding procession was heading for the church, the bride realised that she had left the wedding ring at home. Her mother was so furious that she cursed the whole procession and they all turned into rocks-hence the name of the place.
