Photographer's Note

The Sine Saloum is a really beautiful and peaceful area near the Petite Côte, where two rivers meet. Formed by beaches, mangrove swamps, dunes, salt wells and little islands, it's a wonderful place to rest, to watch the many bird species that can se seen in the area or simply explore the area and watch the daily life of the locals.
Near the little village where we stayed, the boys usually take the horses by the end of the day, so that they can have a bath, something they seem to enjoy in the hot days.

Hi Ana,

this is a beautiful presentation, unlike many other interesting images, this one was created by a motion of daily struggle combined with joy and hope for better tomorrow. Nice colours in the frame, the boy and the horse pretty in the same tone, seems like there is not enough grassland to feed the animals. Hope there are no crocodiles living in the water...Thanks for sharing !!!

J'aime beaucoup cette scène de la vie dans cette partie du monde. La lumière frappe à merveille la peau noire du jeune homme ainsi que celle du cheval. Le cadrage est excellent.

Another great bathing shot, Ana. Great posture of the boy. The ribcage of the horse is sad perhaps, but certainly impressive. Great too that the boy and the horse are similar in colour, it seems to stress that they belong together. Also, the eyepad of the horse is a great...err...eye-catcher.

Uma belíssima imagem da vida diária do lugar, com o menino se divertindo bastante na água enquanto o cavalo parece aproveitar pra descansar um pouco. Os reflexos na água fazem um belo contraste com o menino e o animal! Linda imagem!
