Photographer's Note

Flagler College (depuis 1967) était autrefois The Ponce de Leon Hotel, achevé en 1888, et commandé par Henry Flagler, magnat de l'immobilier, des gisements d'huile et du transport ferroviaire.
Premier bâtiment important à avoir été entièrement construit à base de béton coulé, il fut ajouté au registre national des lieux historiques en 1975.
Ces tours étaient des châteaux d'eau à l'origine et contenaient chacune 8,000 gallons.
Désolé pour le cadrage trop serré; manque de recul.

Designed in the Spanish Renaissance style, the Ponce de Leon Hotel was constructed in 1888 entirely of poured concrete for Henry Flagler, the railroad and Standard Oil magnat.
Originally, the twin towers of the hotel were water storage tanks containing each 8,000 gallons.
The building came part of surrounding Flagler College in 1967.

Bonjour Robert,

le plan est serré mais la symétrie presque parfaite n'est pas sans atout pour nous faire découvrir agréablement cette architecture.
Les couleurs et contrastes sont bien rendus comme le piqué de l'image.

Bonjour Robert,

Cet édifice est magnifique et tu l'as capté avec un belle symétrie. Le cadrage assez serré est efficace. Sous cette luminosité favorable, les couleurs sont bien marquées et la netteté des détails est remarquable.

A Spanish influence notable, I like how the red/brown wall-edges around all windows, verands, doors and turrets mingle on space with the entire building.
Good POV show the whole inner court with grand colors.
