This picture has been taken during a bike trip, I saw the Shepherdess with sheep, a wonderful attraction for children and visitors.
These women gives very gladly information about the sheep, this is no commercial happen, alone for tourism and school visitors.

History:
The Drongengoed, an oasis of greenery and calm, a discovery that is worth ...
It is with its 750ha Drongengoed the largest contiguous forest of area. It is located in the Meetjesland in the territory of Knesselare and Maldegem. Mixed woodland and heathland plants live together in harmony. The forest is well known for the many species of mushrooms that grow there and the presence of various birds.
Drongengoed; It gets its name from the Fathers of Drongen (= district of Ghent), which since the 13th century helped cultivate the area. These priests had Drongengoed Farm as them base. This beautiful farmhouse is located in the forest and is a tourist attraction. In the 18th century they started to reforest the moorland which resulted in the current Drongengoed.
Because there is so much to discover in the forest we organize, starting out from the Drongengoed Farm, a 15 or so hikes guided by an experienced nature guide,you the ropes in the fauna, flora, the origin of the forest.
A real discovery for young and old about 2 hours.
These walks can be combined with a delicious meal, hot soup or a piece of cake with coffee or a cold local beer, accompanied by a specialty Meetjesland in the Drongengoed farm our friend Kurt.

Hi John,

A herd of sheep is always a pleasure to see. Different sheep than ours or the ones I saw in Scotland. They look quite funny with a bit of orange colour.And what a nice shepherd, usually it is an old man, here we have attractive girl.

La bergère semble bien seule face à son troupeau de moutons.
J'aime beaucoup la répétition des têtes colorées toujours aussi avides de découvrir l'environnement.

Nekada je Srbijom bilo mnogo stada ovaca koje su pasle lepim zelenim poljima ...
Vrlo interesantan i dobar tekst ...
Dobar trenutak snimka pastirice sa ovcama u lepoj prirodi, lepa fotografija.
Dobra ostrina snimka, kontrast i prikaz lepim bojama, moje cestitke na dobrom radu.

Lovely those sheeps in a wonderful scenery, with a green surroundings and plenty of grass, john.
Good light management, noticeable shadowed area ( there is a shiney spot on far back), and great clearity on the animals - though not easy to take as they move all the time.

I come from a sheep and sheepherds country but I have never seen a view like this one. Not only the shepherness is pretty but so are the sheep.

Hi John,

The distance between the sheeps and the trees is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the sheeps. The late afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Le troupeau semble avoir compris l'intérêt que tu lui portait, je crois bien qu'elles surveillaient le moindre de tes mouvements!

La composition et le respect de la lumière ambiante donnent beaucoup de charme à ta photo! J'aime beaucoup cette lumière au fond de l'allée!

I like the graphical effect created by the repetition of the sheeps and the interesting integration of the flock in the landscape of the forest of this farm, with the way that adds a nice perspective.

Very nice view, Very pleasant atmosphere, all well seen and very nicely captured. The Shepherdess with sheep creates a view of a life style that is full. I can see how an image like this can have an special appeal to children. But the image appeals very agreeably to me as well. In the green foliage, peaceful atmosphere is well collected. I love the image so far apart from the one that I have at the moment. How nice it is to meet a very nice image like this , Thank you John.

That is a very idyllic shot, I like it, the sheep are lovely, especially the two in front with the colourful bands. Excellent shot of the life of a shepherd, oh sorry it is a women. She really must like this job, which is not so easy to do in our modern world. Good composition and execution. Well done.

This is a very charming scene, with the large flock of sheep in something that looks like a park!
I notice some of the sheep have black heads, so they are a bit unlike the ones I'm used to see here...

I really like very much this picture.
The bunch of sheeps looks very nice. They have brown head, contrary to Italian sheeps that, apart some "blacks", are fully white.
The gender of the sheperd is another anomaly respect to ours.

Being a shepherdress must be a stressful job...she looks like she is pulling her hair. LOL. My image of a shepherd is that of an old up in the hills. But this is a much better scene and nicely captured with good dof and sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Hello John, it should be a very nice coincidence and surprise to come accross to such a lovely group of ships, while you were biking. Another unusual thing is that, we used to see old gentlemen as shepherds in such compositions. Well a very special shepherdess indeed, as one can know from your note. So smartly dressed and she looks quite beautiful! (:-) Sardinia is a region of sheep but I've never seen such a lovely shepherdess!
I know it's not easy to photograph sheep but here you succeeded very well. I'm impressed by the sharpness of the details in the sheep wool and as usual the composition is harmonious.

a lovely and interesting picture about this beautiful place, the modern shepherdess and her well taken care of herd. I like very much the depth and perspective that, together with great sharpness, lighting and rendering of natural colours, make the view very comfortable, pleasing and interesting. Hello John, beautiful nature, lovely famous sheep and a model sheepherdess compose a very attractive and natural picture, greatly executed on the spot!
I would love to take this walk and at the end enjoy a traditional meal as noted!
