Photographer's Note

Autumn in Greece.

What you see, is Kipoi village and "Kalogeriko" (or Plakidas) stone bridge.
It is a three-arch stone bridge (two arches are visible as the third is covered by trees) on the river of Voidomatis, tributary of Aoos river, near the villages of Kipoi and Koukouli in the Central Zagori region. The name "Kalogeriko" (monk's bridge)occurred when the monk Serafim from the monastery of the Pofitis Helias in the village of Kipoi, fininced its reconstruction and the bridge was converted from a wooden one to a stone one. It is also known by the name "Plakidas", because it was repaired by Alexis and Andreas Plakidas from the village of Koukouli.
