Photographer's Note

This is my first photo from my last trip to Chicago.Unfortunately for me,the weather was very cold and rainy at this time.But it does not change the fact,that Chicago is a really beautiful city with impressive architecture and very friendly people.
This particular picture was taken from N.Michigan Avenue Bridge(in my opinion the most beautiful bridge in Chicago).The riverside in Chicago´s downtown is a perfect place to admire the beautiful skyscrapers.

witaj, bardzo fajne zdjecie nocnego Chicago. ciekawy brązowy kolor ze zlotymi błyskami, swietna ostrośc, ładna kompozycja. Zapowiada sie ciekawa seria.

C'est une superbe photo urbaine. J'aime bien les teintes de brun des édifices sous ce ciel nuageux. Le petit bateau semble bien fragile et presque d'une autre époque.

Ein wenig düster, dein erstes Foto aus U.S.A, aber es gefällt. Chicago ist ja eine der sehr windige Stadt.
Es war sicher ein Erlebnis, dort zu sein.
(ich war wieder in Bosnien, bei sehr schönen Wetter)

Welcome back from the states. You have brought us a wonderful image of Chicago. Your photo makes me wonder what it's like to live there. Beautifully rendered towers contrasted by the reflections on the river. A boat moving away from the POV is a nice touch. Was it cold in Chicago? but your hands were very steady.I look forward to seeing even more beautiful images from your trip.

The scrapes are dominating the image, and river is scaling that.

Chicago is a city that I want to visit, and your photos increases my desire.
This night capture is fantastic, you obtained a great result in spite of the bad weather.
I like the perspective of the river and the wonderful skyscrapers, elegantly illuminated, and the good light and colors level,as well.

Very fine night shot with an excellent light mangment. I like the reflections in the water very much. You are right that a wide angle lens is very good especially for pictures of cities.TFS.

A nice blackhour photo with interesting golden/brown tonalities. The chosen POV give us a fine view from Chicago downtown. The boat in the foreground give us a good idea of the huge dimensions. Fine effect of the reflections in the river. Great work:) TFS. Have a nice evening.

Stunning scene. The buildings are magnificent along the riverfront and the light reflected back is beautiful. The little boat in the foreground gives me a great sense of scale to those massive buildings. Wonderful shot.

Just came across this in the Random Photos box on your page, Krzysztof, and couldn't resist despite it being an older shot. The light you've captured here is really extraordinary; this is a perfect shot of a city at night, with the band of bright light at surface and the skyscrapers glowing above. The almost chocolate sky forms a perfect backdrop that helps outline the buildings; a cloudless night wouldn't have had the same effect. And then finally you have the water, reflecting all of these lights, setting apart the little patrol boat leading us into the scene. Really nice work.
