Photographer's Note
The "EL"(also written "L")is the rapid transit system serving the city of Chicago and some of its surrounding suburbs. It is operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). It is the second longest rapid transit system in total track mileage in the United States, after the New York City Subway. The oldest sections of the 'L' started operating in 1892.The 'L' consists of eight rapid transit lines laid out in a spoke-hub distribution paradigm mainly focusing transit towards the Loop. Although the 'L' gained its nickname because large parts of the system are elevated, portions of the network are underground, at grade level, or open cut.

For transportation freak like me,it was really a great expirence to use these trains for a week. They may not be modern, but they certainly have their charm. And I must admit,it was one of the reasons why I went to Chicago.

Hola Krzysztof :
Interesting takes on B / W,
the contrasts are correct,
excellent definition and although
the sky has been overexposed,
the result is good.
Saludos amigo y feliz domingo.

Witaj Krzysztof,
bardzo ciekawa kompozycja w kolorach B&W, bardzo dobra ostrosc, swietny punkt widzenia, contrast. Takie koleje przydalyby sie tutaj, odciazyloby wieksza ilosc somochodow. Ale to raczej tutaj niemozliwe.Bardzo przyjemne zdjecie.
Serdecznnie pozdawiam,

Sharpness and clarity are fantastic.
Depth and perspective are nice for look at.
Excellent captured and nice composed.

Hi Krzysztof.
A very good composition, whose haul in B & W seems to go back to the 30's, I like the construction of the building on the left, the train also appears to be of the time with this line so classic.
A great job with good sharpness and good level of gray. Well done.
Spend a nice afternoon.
All the best.
Luis.

Hi Krzysztof,
the B/W format of the scene is fine with the view of the coming EL train to be well captured. The clarity of the image is superb.

Witaj Krzysztofie,
B&W, wywołuje silniejszy odbiór kształtów, faktur, grę światłocieni oraz podkreśla walory kompozycyjne tej niewątpliwie udanej fotografii. Wynikałe uproszczenie skutkuje niepowtarzalną atmosferą, całości nadaje ponadczasowego charakteru.
Pozdrawiam
Władysław

Hello,
The image is almost surreal or is surrealistic. The train is there in front of you still without any sign of movement, and I only see two people in a far distance, and in the shadow, as if the time has frozen everything. In this particular photograph, having cloudy sky might have been to your interest, on your side. In the buildings too, there is absolutely no sign of people living or working in it. I like the image very much. B/W image at its best. In this particular image, absence of color is extremely important. You have made a very important choice not to include the color, my admiration to you.
Very best regards,
Nobu.

Hello Krzysztof,
Your choise of B&W pic. is right: the grey sky in colors would creat a strong backlight-effect on image.
A unique architecture on the house on left, match well into the overwhal scenery. Excelent long view on the train and tracks.
A good take,
Ike

¦wietny portret najbardziej chyba klimatycznego miasta w Stanach. Poci±g, dworzec i otaczaj±ce go wysokie budynki w tonacji B&W, wygladaja jak ze starego filmu. Doskona³a jako¶c fotografii.
Pozdrawiam
