Detroit Murals

Detroit’s reputation may not be very good at the moment, due to the bankruptcy a few years ago and the subsequent stories in the media about the decay of the city, but we actually found a city which seemed positive and hopeful about the future and also its citizens were very friendly. Of course, we only visited downtown Detroit and just for one sunny day in summer, but still. This mood may also be reflected by these murals, which we found along Washington Boulevard (just as the reflections in the car in my previous post). I couldn’t find any information about this particular mural, even though I did find an entire website dedicated to Detroit murals.
