Photographer's Note

It was another busy day inside Grand Central Terminal, and I noticed a photographer, with his tripod set up, taking photos in the main hall. For a moment I thought he might be a member of TE, but as I nonchalantly walked by him, I noticed that he had some credentials on his shirt. :-) It took a while to get a shot without any other people in front of him, but finally...success!

This part of the terminal is well-known from many movies, and it is one of my favorite places. Many of the windows at the ticket counter are now closed, since there are vending machines to sell the tickets, but the information booth remains. It is made of marble and brass, with the famous clock sitting on top. The faces of the clock are made of opal, and they are estimated to be worth $10 million to $20 million US dollars. Recently a new Apple store opened in the balcony that you can see on the upper level.
