Wow what an unusual shot! Fantastic play the yellow silhouettes and the rainbow! It has a lot of power!
Dear Kristine?
Where is this one taken, on the Canadian side? I was there 11 years ago under the waterfall which was called "Journey Behind The Falls".
I was also wearing such a yellow poncho and also got wet but my camera was still working on film. I have a scan and the picture is waiting here in line for upload the coming months?
Whatever, this looks different than were i was, but i can be mislead by your pov. That rainbow looks beautiful and gives a great touch to it.

C'est magnifique, Kristine, and for sure the most exciting picture I have seen from something photographed a million times before or even if it has not been photographed before it would be fantastique. Top notch, and I am sure the next newspaper is there and buys it from you :))) I love how the rainbow somehow stretches out seeming to protect the passengers. Yeah, they enjoy the wet, at least they share a common experience, and this is very often involved with tons of fun. Very very good ... Barbara.

hey there :)
lovely indeed. looking at these wet pilgrims and the rainbow, it's hard to imagine that above their heads it's actually clear blue sky and around 100F... the rainbow is an excellent catch. i'd still suggest posting also the shot where the 'roaring' nature of the falls is more visible.
hugs,
k.
You don't sound very impressed :) It's sad when things get so commercialized. But you managed to get a great view, and the yellow really stands out and grabs our attention. Very nice rainbow. Good job! TFS and have a happy day!

I was drawn into this one by the thumbnail and title, and wasn't disappointed: it's an unusual, cleverly taken photo packed with nice colors, nicely framed.

Hi Kristine,
This is just a beautiful photo. I love the faces of the people looking upwards into the spray and the sun but that rainbow takes the cake. Just a magical moment to capture.

Hello Kristine,
Congrats on a very unique and spectacular shot from the falls! I love the POV looking down on all of the yellow figures with the water splashing around them, and, of course, the capture of the rainbow is wonderful! It really appeared in the perfect spot in the frame.

Hello Kristine,
What a vantage point you had for this image that could have been used in one of the disaster films — Poseidon Adventure on Titanic. The light, colors, resolution and composition all work in harmony.
Warm regards,
Bulent
Nice one Kristine, the rainbow across the yellow people is very nicely seen and captured. There is water in such odd places as you look down on this scene, it really shows the water washing through the scene. Your note reads well, I empathise with your sentiment though I have to add I saw it off season and had to contend with no one. Your shot is great.

Excellent POV and composition. Good colors too. I like the lone dude in black in the middle of these people in yellow. It seems he is of a more adventurous type. Hahaha, what a shower! With the rainbow, the scene seems more attractive and funny but to queue so many hours just to get soaked is maybe a bit... masochist?
Best regards

A very good idea to use this POV and angle to capture the crowds getting soaked. I like the lone woman with no protection enjoying the spray. The rainbow provides a neat touch to the whole thing.

Hi Kristine,
WOW! This one has an excellent POV, very hard to come up with something new for the Niagara falls, but you did a very good job!
It seems like the rainbow is a permanent addition to that place, whoever goes there sees it :)
Nice work,

Hi Kristine,
It seems you were looking from the sky..
Great capture that shows the people in joy and a wondrous rainbow..
The lovely falls stay close, waiting to rush to your frame :)
EXCELLENT.

Hi Kristine,
I hear you...
As stunning as they might be in reality, I don't think the McDonald Falls will ever be on my agenda. Too many schmucks wearing yellow...
Therefore, I more than appreciate your unique photographic approach to this location.
Outstanding POV, great colors and textures, and that rainbow is just awesome. My compliments!
Have a good day, I'll see you soon.

Very beautiful presentation of that very beautiful nature wonder...
And, the most precious element in your photo, Kristine ?
The uniqueness of it...
How many standardish postcards of Niagara - you've seen in your life...?
Many, many puking times - right ?
Well... You've just shown to the world - the different, other face of the baby Niagara...
Hats off, K.

Hello Kristine,
That's just wonderful!! I was trying to guess the location without looking at the geographic location or the note. But I could not guess it. With the yellow coats, I thought for a moment that it was the crew on a drilling platform. But how wrong could I have guessed, seeing now that it are tourists at Niagara Falls. Wonderful!!!

Hi Kristine
That rainbow is just perfect combined with a great capture from above. I remember back in the 60's when I first visited the place what an experience it was. Perfect POV and sharp details

Hi Kristine,
You have a unique ability to see and frame jewels that others wouldn't see; your high-powered favorites validate my perception. This ability to see shows also in your insightful yet concise critiques. The rainbow is a great contrast to the yellow-clad victims huddling away from the pounding of the water; reinforcing your wisdom in staying out the masses. Only the woman in black tries to welcome the water.
It is sad when any natural wonder is hidden by the all the mnasses that buy a piece of it. I visited these falls many years ago as a teen; in current pictures, I really can't recognize the place.

Hi Kristine, Great shot, the rainbow providing balance against all the yellow rain coats. The POV is really intriguing, how can you look down on a rainbow, until the viewer realises where it is. great shot, what a good imagination you have. cheers, Steve

Hello Kristine
How did I miss this before? I have never seen this POV before...wonder where did you take this from, another platform above this one. The excellent part is the rainbow effect cutting the frame in a diagonal meeting the lower part of the frame with the splash of water drenching the people. A very fine shot Kristine & also thanks for sharing this different view with us.

Hi Kristine,
This is an amazing picture! What a blessed moment you captured with your camera and you didn't waste the opportunity, showing it with perfect technique. The POV could not be better to show the turists. While all seem too worrid about getting wet, at least one looks mesmerized by the rainbow beauty. Bravo!

Hi Kristine,
I guess there are moments when a person can be overwhelmed with a small part of bigger scale...a detail...let's say a rainbow ending with agroup of people in yellow. We have a saying that there is a treasure hidden at the end of the rainbow...and it looks like you found it! :) Superb photo! I love it as I love this single girl in black as it appears as the only one looking at it. Beautiful!
Kind regards,
Jeri
