Photographer’s Note
This is the family side of yesterday's shot. Frank Lloyd Wright had hard and specific ideas about public and private spaces within the home and here, even though the photo leaves much to be desired, you can see this side is not as unfriendly as the public side.
The inside was not available to photography but it was spare and sparse and beautiful and inline with FLW ideas on minimalistic homes. It was worth the trip shouuld you ever get the chance to do it your self.

The hues are so rich and so well nuanced. I love the way the lights and the scene have been captured.

This is one of Frank Lloyd Wrights not much publicised residence. This is one of his residence that is simple and devoid of exterior decor. I like the simplicity of this house compared to some of his big commissioned home design.
I sympathize with you on the effect of shooting against the light on this photo. Despite the shade the lines of the architectural elements are still visble to be appreciated.
I was just wondering why you set your camera in Spot Metering mode?

Hello Greg,
The subject is well framed and the light renders great colours in the vegetation!
While the backlight produces good result for the surroundings it probably leaves the main subject with a bit too little light in this difficult exposure situation...
The panoramic cropping works well!

Hi Greg,
You caught this famous architect's work in lovely warm late day light.
Beautiful lines seen in sharp detail and framed nicely by the lush green trees and lawn.

Hi Greg. Wonderful capture, you have excellent detail considering the backlight and that same light has given the leaves their own sparkle. Well composed and thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hello George.
The shot makes me remember this song that you perhaps know:
"So long, frank lloyd wright.
I cant believe your song is gone so soon.
I barely learned the tune
So soon
So soon".
FLW was truly a great artist.
I share your words.
The shot is nice, despite the high contrast.
Best regards.
Bobo.

Hello Greg,
I do like this panoramic shot which is so beautifully proportioned in its composition. The angled house stretches out into the space, inviting the eyes in whilst the tree trunk prevents it being too central.
The draping branches create a soft ambience.
For me, the saturation of the greens is a little strong and makes the house appear to be in greater shadow. I have done a w/s to try to change this. I hope you like it and are not offended by me alterring your photograph.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

And by the way, great photo(s), I forgot to say that in my last comment :))) Love this view as well, showing how the house lives with the season and so were the owners. My father-in-law is an architect, never really retired and still works with 81 :))) Can't stop him ... LOL. He now helps his younger colleagues if they need some advice from an old fox like calculating stuff etc. He would love this shot, I am sure. Such an inspiration ... Have a good day, Barbara.

Hello Greg,
This architect is best known for his "Fallingwater", but just know more of his work.
I like the light shining on the green grass and trees make a nice contrast with the house in the shade.
Best wishes,
Charo
