If you're looking for rugged expedition, a date with nature, native American history and culture, Red rock park is the place to be. Ok now I sound like im advertising, but really take one of the pink jeep tours, helicopter or balloon rides and get intimate with nature. It's a fun photographic adventure.

hello Claire,
I wonder how you can get close with the nature while sitting in a hot air baloon :)
as to the photo - way oversharpened. what looks like a midday sun is already harsh enough, so if you had very hard sharpening, you destroy all the textures of the rock, they become just random lines. also, there are halos around the edges because of the sharpening and compression (your file is only little over 150Kb, only half of the size allowed on TE).

Great picture here, This orange is so.....incredible, with amazing texture and sharpness...Framing is not so bad and I can say you photo show Arizona looks like one of the most beautiful state of America !

It has been a very long time since I last saw a post from you, and what a post for your return! A beautiful capture of the canyonland with the multiple sculpted rock formations and the perfect light to illuminate them all.
I once offered the Pink Jeep Tours an idea that would have enlarged their area of expertise, but I never received an answer. It was too bad, as I may have been that guide you met.
