Photographer’s Note

Day 2, late morning.
As we were getting closer to the bottom of the canyon, it seemed every step we descended, the clouds got thicker. By the time we reach the Bright Angel Campground the sun was gone. After setting up our tent, it started to rain and there were lighting and thunder in the near distance. It seems to be a very common weather pattern in the summer here at Grand Canyon. This is where the clouds get together in the afternoon to make some noise and discharge. Fortunately, it rained only for a short time, we were able to go to the river and relax.
