Photographer’s Note
During our visit to Page Arizona I was able to get a young Navajo fellow by the name of Vernon to take me to Rattlesnake Canyon as well as Upper Antelope Canyon. This image was taken in Rattlesnake Canyon. These narrow slot canyons are formed over millions of years by flash floods. A photographer's delight.

Hi Phil,
Not sure whether I would be all that eager to walk down rattlesnake canyon, but it appears to be well worth it. Color is somewhat unearthly in these deep shadows and the sedimentary stria are spectacular.

Hi again Phil
You're lucky to have been there, b'c you're right, this would be a photographers dream.
I can imagine myself there for hours until all my batteries ran out!
Great lines, and shapes captured. lighting must be difficult in that space, so great work

Hi Phil,
You've captured the beauty of the canyon perfectly. Sounds like you managed to arrive at a time that it wasn't too crowded. It's always a good thing to have a guide.

Fantastic shot Phil. You have captured the texture and tones perfectly in what must have been difficult conditions. Definitely worth getting a guide!

Yes, this is art at it's finest. Such vivid pastels and marvelous angles with some kind of "random uniformity" to the whole thing. Nice comp. Best, TW
