Photographer’s Note
We entered the Lower Antelope Canyon with a tour group of 15 people or so, we were the last in line and we waited for all of them to look around and took their pictures and left. Here in the low Antelope Canyon, You don’t have to stay with your group. You can take your time and explore or just take photos. After the group left, we had the area to ourselves before the next tour group come in. We took our time to really enjoy the canyon and looking at how the light falls into the canyon creating all kind of interesting shape and colors. It was all peaceful and quiet, and you can actually hear some Navajo Indian music played by one of the native somewhere on top of the canyon. As I was composing this shot, through the view finder, I saw giant narrow canyon, and a waterfalls of sand flowing into a river gorge.
Antelope Canyon is a photogrpher's wonderland. Every corner you turn there is something different and opportunities to composed stunning images with different POVs. You do need a tripod 100 percent of the time to utilize the slow shutter speed so you can get a nice sharp and intense color images.

Hello Way,
not the first time there are photos of this place on this site, but you captured the magic of the play of colours and light well, with the stream of sand as an eye catching detail.

Well seen and composed Way..the subtle changes of layers and colour..are truly superb..this must have been an exciting trek and quite a mysterious one too..the interplay of light should give a lot of value to low shutter..this is more abstract than nature...
I was right..i see the tripod now !!
cheers

Hi Way,
when i look at your images, the wish to be there grows with every picture. It's nearly 20 years ,that i've been in this area and i have missed some highlight. This too. Our trip to USA is planned sometimes in the next three years.
The colours of your picture are fantastic. I like it much. Thanks a lot and have a nice week

A perfect shot... Nothing is over-exposed and the sharpness is very good : we can see the relief on the stone. Very graphical view.

I'm blind, Way! And I wish I could be there too, able to touch the stone of which texture seems attractive, and to feel the reality of this marvel under my own fingers. I love your POV, that gives a strong feeling intimacy with this narrow path and the warm colors. I love the impression of a spititual elevation, with the graduation of light increasing with the height. I love the sensation of movement suggested by the striation of the rocks, and the whirl shapes of that natural walls... A sacred feeling for a certainly sacred place. And you were there. Lucky guy! Excellent work, that goes straight in my theme on Antelope canyon.
Congratulations!

Hi Way, Fantastic lower Canyon, it looks similar as the upper one, but when you do not need to be with a guide, it is maybe better for making photos. The colours and lights, and shapes are amazing. It is really photographers heaven, burt rather difficult one :)
Warm regards

Hi Way, this is another amazing composition, I'm torn between this and your previous POV. The light, contours and shadows are marvellously captured. It seems to have been a mystical experience with Indian music playing in the BG whilst taking the photos - perhaps kind of eerie. A beautiful place, I don't know if I'd want to spend the night alone there though :) Great work, TFS and enjoy your week, Lisa.

Hi Way,
what a nice respective. Great colour variation. The light fallen on canyon really added dynamism to it. Depth is so good. Nice to see with vertical framing. Is there something written in the foreground soil? Anyway great shot indeed.
Congrats.

It is damn sharp all right and the colors are amazing. I've seen hundreds of images from this place and I never get tired. Must be an incredible place, but a crowd can ruin everything. I remember how hard it was in Petra and the gorge is much wider, nothing like this...Well Way, you've been delivering outstanding images. Congratulations and keep it going.
And if we don't talk earlier, I wish you all the luck downthere in the windy patagonia :)

hello Way,
as I told you before, this is simply not fair! :)) sometimes I think I was in a different place, may be in a nasty parallel universe. love the flowing textures and glowing colours, the stream of sand in the background is just the right touch. great, what else can I say.

Hi Way,
Don't believe what's coming from Hollywood; Legend of the Falls have been filmed in Alberta, Canada... LOLLL!
I'm very envious of you Way, as this destination is high on my wish list for landscape project.
The effect of warm tones shifting from honey mustard to terra cotta and fiery red is jaw-dropping. Exposure is flawless as you have perfectly managed your highlights and dark zones without sacrifices. Vertical frame looks like a natural option on this composition.
Make a double copy somewhere... Just in case.
Cheers!

Second in the series, but without the famous and magical beam of light, but this is like a painting...different shades as if the painter has just drawn the paint brush along the walls creating those fine ridges and patterns on the stones...beautiful. And I do see your name written in the sand as well...this is an extra special souvenir shot for you!

Hi Way,
I don't get tired of seeing pics of that place. They are all so nice!
The patterns and the color of the rock is s impressive. It must be hard to manage light in that place because the range seems very wide.
nature can be so impressive and strong!

Hello Way,
It is always a pleasure for me to see photos of Antelope Canyon. It is a photographer heaven with graphism and colors.
I understood from some posts of avene that it was not so easy to handle groups of visitors and shotting but it seems you perfectly succeeded here.
One day, I would have to visit the NP in west USA.
