City Hall Reflections

We started our visit to downtown San Francisco at the Civic Center, an area which is home to some of the city’s largest government and cultural institutions, including San Francisco City Hall, which I showed once before in a picture that I took during our first visit to SF in 2014. In this photo, its large dome gets reflected in a poster on the wall of the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House for an upcoming performance of Richard Wagner’s The Ring in summer 2018.

San Francisco City Hall is the seat of government for the City and Council of San Francisco. The city hall opened in 1915, when it replaced the city hall that was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
