Photographer's Note

Here's another one from the zoo; after seeing, you could think they don't have animals ;)

I never realized before how disctinctive and beautiful the stripes can be. Zebras always look like zebras, but when you look closely, they're all different.

BTW, the zoo is surprisingly dark. It was a bright day, the sun burning down without mercy, 101F/38C, and Albuquerque is in a desert. But I had to go down to ISO 1600 most of the time and keep the aperture open to get reasonably short exposure times. All the animals hide in the shadows, and I was wishing I had a better lens (and that I had brought a gallon of water to drink).
