Photographer's Note

The American Bald Eagle in our national bird. It is called bald because of it's white head. The immature birds do not have the white head. This guy was sitting in a tree on Second Beach in La Push Washington. He and his friend were not concerned with us but rather with looking for fish for their dinner. You can also see the result on the nearly 117 inches of rain they receive annually in this region; the moss hanging on the tree. We were lucky and had sun.
