They may not be the giant redwoods, but it is amazing the size of the trees in this old-growth forest. It is humbling to be surrounded by the presence of such large living entities. More than a millennium old, one can only imagine the stories they could tell.

The forest was at peace, it felt as though everything were in balance, and as I tried to teach my children, as long as we were respectful to the environment here, we would not change the balance.

Hi Dana:

The Hoh Rainforest is one of the places I've most wanted to visit for a long time. Nice shot of the trees here. I like the rather simple composition and the soft light. One of these days I'll get there...
