You chose a good POV so the rows of boats go diagonally across the frame, leading the eye easily to the San Diego skyline. When travelling we can't always have the light we would like so I tried a WS to see if adding some contrast would lift the pale colours. See what you think.

Long time ago you ask for my honest opinion.
Well my friend, although the view is nice with the row of boats, it's the light which isn't good at all. It's flat and dull. The sky doesn't give you anything, lack of contrast and colour. You were at the right place at the wrong time, that's for sure. When you would stand here during sunset it would have given you much warmer colours with a much more interesting view to the city than it is now.
Hope you understand what i mean by these words.
San Diego..hmmm, 20 years i was there...Balboa Park is still in my thoughts.

siempre me alegra ver tus nuevas fotos, donde compartes con nosotros tus momentos especiales y las vistas que has disfrutado en tus viajes.
Esta panorámica del skyline de San Diego desde el puente es profunda, elegante y muy atractiva, sobre todo para los amantes de la arquitectura como yo.
Como te ha comentado Henk, encuentro la foto con un poco de falta de contraste y una exposición difícil, y una ligera distorsión de verticales por el gran angular. Un polarizador circular también hubiera ayudado a un mejor resultado en este tipo de toma.

Por esta razón, he intentado un WS para corregir estos pequeños problemas, espero que eso no estropee tu trabajo y sea de tu agrado.

A pesar de todo, la foto me gusta.

Belle prise de vue excellente perspective. J'aime bien ta composition avec tous ces bateaux bien alignés formant un carré et une vue sur la ville derrière. Beau travail et bon rendu des couleurs.
Même si je suis très occupé j'essaie d'aller voir sur TE de temps en temps.

Es una vista magnifica. Es sorprendente el alineamiento de los barcos, hacen recordar soldados en una parada. Además, se combinan muy bien con los edificios altos del fundo.
Quizás eso sólo pruebe que nosotros "jugamos en otro campeonato", inferior a lo de Henk, Kath y Josep, pero yo difícilmente apuntaría la luz como un "defecto". De acuerdo que no es la más favorable, pero no me parece mal. Josep y Kath hicieran un buen trabajo en sus WS's, pero no estoy seguro que hayan mejorado alguna cosa, me parece una otra "lectura" de la imagen.
Se quisiera implicar con detalles, referiría antes la ligera OE en los barcos y la el borrado junto al canto superior izquierdo.

Pues aunque estoy de acuerdo con las apreciaciones que hacen Henk y Josep, me agrada mucho el punto de vista, y el fuerte poder compositivo que conserva el escenario, con esa formacion lineal de los veleros...

Sin duda mi amigo, que estas en el lugar correcto en el momento equivocado... pero me gusta la toma, sinceramente.

Hola Emile, sometimes we learn more with our images that aren't so good...Considering that it was taken from a moving car I would say that's a pretty good result, but I agree that it's far from your best. Although the light and colors aren't so appealing I still like the beautiful view and the graphism of the boats. A tighter framing on them as suggested by Josep works better for me as well.

You have a nice image here with an excellent view of the city in the background. This place seem pleasant and friendly from this point. The pov over this bay gives a good idea of the surroundings and I can see it's quite busy...the rows of boats are leading naturally the viewer to the buildings in BG.

I like this picture, don't see lack of contrast. I guess it was a hot and very bright day. Where I live, the sky becomes almost completely white in days like that. It is real and I think this was what happened there, wasn't it?
I think there is an excellent DOF and a POV very well chosen.

You've framed my favorite anchorages very nicely. We used to spend the summer anchored here when our son was younger. It's a great place for a kid to learn to sail. Now it's primarily given over to permnant moorings for people who never nmove their boats.

There's such a sense of order in this image it could be Swiss, only the background buildings tell it can't be ! Good Pov to get these alignments that also give depth to your image.

A very lovely line up of the boats though it is quite impossible for some to be completely still. I like the variety as it created much interest to the scene. Overall I enjoyed this wide span of space and later to be greeted by the equally interesting shoreline. A lovely relaxing atmosphere indeed. Well done!!
