My 15 Minutes Photo

Photographer’s Note

Believe it or not this is a color photo; the natural lighting at the time was very bad. The photo is remarkable as it was shot with a 35mm SLR camera on slow (ASA32) film. I used no tripod and could not believe any of the shots turned out. The photo was carried nationally in the United States by the Associated Press.

Hi Christopher,
This is fascinating image and I also cannot believe it is colour! It reminds me of the recent dust storms we had in Australia where everything was orange ( i did not capture it d'oh).
Congratulations on having the image used in the press and also on capturing it - looks scary!

Dull, uninteresting photo, and what is that curved thing in the center, could you not have gotten a bit closer to it so we could get more detail? Maybe from 20 feet away it would have been more interesting..

only kidding... :)
