The snow cover on the logs provides a surprising element, telling that this is not summer despite the blue sky. A fine nature photo.

An excellent perspective , with a very well chosen POV . The cloud complete perfectly the composition and provides a fine dynamic effect . It seems to be a summer picture (greenery , blue sky) , but the snows swows us that it is wintertime .

Hello Judy -

Here it is Dec. 7th and our first major winter storm has finally arrived. I guess I should not complain since you took this one in September, at least we had three more nice months. This is a very nice scene and the snow accentuating the logs on the shore are a natural leading line into the scene. Well done.

I really like the effect created by the low point of view. it looks as if the ground is moving b/c of the close up of the snow covered tree trunks in the foreground.
i also like the division, lots of water, lots of sky, lots of greenery.

Thank you for your comment. I've enjoyed looking through your work and this one in particular caught my eye. You have captured the colours very nicely in a good composition. I like the contrast of the snow covered wood in the foreground with the summer like conditions behind. Great POV.
