Photographer's Note

Searching for signs of longer days, I walked the beach along Point Higgins this morning. Only a sturdy little ferry chugged toward Ketchikan from Prince of Wales Island on its twice daily run. Silence reigns, as does heavy, gray overcast and the threat of snow. I'll treasure the additional 30 seconds today. Thanks to all you TrekEarthies for a delightful year with you. Judy

Hi Judy,
I like the scale here, the boat looks completely dwarfed by the mountain in the background. Your vertical frame has accentuated the effect further still.
It is a land of amazing contrasts.
