Photographer’s Note

Avant l'orage,
on se dépêche de trouver un abri.
On veut quitter les eaux calmes qui vont se transformer.
On regarde le ciel qui se met à tonner.
On espère que la pluie saura nous épargner.

Je descendais le Colorado en rafting.
Le ciel a viré de couleurs en un instant.
L'orage fût incroyable.
Je n'ai pas trouvé d'autre abris qu'une toile plastique.

Je retombe sur cette vieille image papier.

Before the storm, one hurries to find a shelter.
One wants to leave calm water which will change.
One looks at the sky which starts to thunder.
One hopes that the rain will be able to save to us.

I descended Colorado in rafting.
The sky transfered colors in one moment.
The storm was incredible.
I just found a shelters of plastic.

I fall down on this old image paper.

voilà un chef d'oeuvre! De magnifiques couleurs, tout ce qu'il faut de reflets, un ciel chargén un paysage exceptionnel. Je trouve juste que l'accentuation est un peu forte, gout personnel...

Le ciel etait vraiment menaçant!les plans sont bien differenciés,la PP musclée est du au passage sous neatimage surement,le fort contraste valorise le ciel bleu sombre,toujours aussi inspirer pour la note ,tu as trouvé ton style,bravo,

il aurait été dommage de ne pas nous la presenter celle-ci.
les couleurs sont assez surprenantes et dues peut-être au scan. quoiqu'il en soit la composition est superbe. ce ciel menaçant donne une dimension supérieure à un coin dejà hors normes !!

Bertrand, the light in this image is incredible. So rich in the foreground and light on the rocks behind. And the clouds, so dark and threatening. Was there much PP to achieve this effect?

Beautiful colors, Bertrand. It's odd that the sky is so blue when it has heavy dark clouds. Nice composition that emphasizes horizontal layers of color, just like the layers of rock in that area. Regards, Ken.

Hi Bertrand. Wow what an incredible shot! I see you are showing this in Colorado so this would have to be the extreme western part of the state where the Colorado River looks like this. The sharpness is doing some amazing things for the textures on the canyon wall. Seeing this shot reminds me of how glad I am to have seen this beautiful part of the world. tfs Bertrand!!

Eh bien ! les vieilles images papier ont du bon ! C'est tout simplement magnifique (le mot n'est pas trop fort). L'image donne l'impression d'être en trois dimensions, il suffirait presque de porter lunettes (spéciales) pour la voir en relief.

J'ai l'impression de voir une tapisserie d'Aubusson, c'est pas une mauvaise idée.
Le plus surprenant c'est le plan intermédiaire qui est désaturé par rapport à l'avant-plan et le ciel. Très étrange !

Dire qu'elle est dans mes favoris depuis un certain temps et que je n'y ai jamais laissé de mots ! Réparation est faite cet aprèm, ce qui est la moindre des choses vue la netteté exceptionnelle de celle la, des couleurs très vives et lumineuses malgré ce ciel bien chargé qui arrive.
Un must see sur TE !

I stumbled upon this superb picture and couldn't go forward without saying "thanks". Great colors! I guess this may be an image of that site before a storm but it probably took thousands such storms to create what we're seeing here. It may have been the river itself too. But it definetly took a lot of work to bring this place into the shape you found it in. I wonder if there's another picture after this storm. I wanna see its effects. There probably is one... I should just try hard enough to find it.
The lighter rocks in the background are suggestive of a Greek landscape. It looks like the image of some ancient Greece temple. At least that's how it looks to me.

What a beautiful shot!!! Very rich colour adjustment specially on the near background and foreground. Composition and POV are great except the sky having blank look and blury clouds should have been lessened in my view. On the whole it is a great shot. Thanks for sharing.

Cette photo attire vraiment l'oeil dans votre portfolio. Le contraste des couleurs est vraiment étonnant. Le second plan est vraiment irréel. On dirait un décor de western qui aurait été ajouté.

Quel plaisir de fouiner sur TE, là je ressors une photo de 2005 que je trouve magnifique. Tu as là un paysage absolument somptueux presque surnaturel - que dis-je 2005, cette date étant celle de la soumission, en fait elle date de 1998 ça va faire 10 ans - elle accroche vraiment avec ses palliers de teintes différentes, elle est superbe
