Photographer's Note

Shot from the Empire State Building: A great view, but nigh on impossible to capture an original take. Still, I was happy to be there and grateful for the experience. We were in port on a weekends, so the line-ups were long. Vizibility was limited to two miles by haze; I can't begin to imagine the lines on a perferct day. I was amused by the consumerist mentality of offering folks the oppourtunity to by-pass the wait by paying 5x the regular ticket price. Yes, there were people who took advantage of this.

Here we see the uniquely beautiful Chrysler Building, completed in 1930 and standing 1046'. In the background is the Queensborough Bridge, built 1960 and on the right I've caught the edge of the Trump Tower, errected to 861' in 1983. After hours of research, I was unable to identify the triangle-tipped building between the two. Can anyone help out?
