[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I lived in Miami for 4 years during the late 90s and early 00's.

Last weekend I went back to sign the sale of the house I bought there when I first arrived.

It was a very intense personal experience, as this time it felt like I was turning the page on my North American life for good.

Miami was very good to me, I leae behind some good friends (not all living in Miami as its a city that many people just pass through on their way to somewhere else) and many many memories.

Miami is often called the northernmost city of Latin America. About 60% of the metro population is hispanic. Before the late 1950s it was a quiet southern city.

Following the Cuban revolution, most of Cuba's upper and middle classes moved there and their dynamism pushed the city forward. These initial waves of immigration were followed by cubans of poorer backgrounds, and by waves of other immigrants: Nicaraguans, Colombians, Peruvians, Argentinians, Venezueleans, and many others.

Today many mulitnational corporations have their headquarters in Miami.

Nice shot, Daniel. The dark sky is cool. That lady seems to ignore the weather and just continues her job. Interesting note of an interesting guy ;)
Best wishes,
Nino

Hello, Daniel--
Nice work here, this is a really moody picture, with heavy skies and just a hint of sun. Maybe this would work better as a black and white... the intense white and blue of her clothes seems kind of off with the rest of the picture, but sending them to light tones of gray would perhaps add to the moodiness of the dark sky.
Thanks!
sam

Hi Daniel, amazing image with a unusual view of Miami city centre and all well composed with good quality.

reading the note...i think that you're a real modern nomad, you lived in so many different countries and in so different...continents!
i think that is a great opportunity, to live and just not only to visit during a travel.

damn'...i'm so glue to my city!

ciao

Hej Daniel,
Great view of Miami. The mood is very nice with the dark clouds, but also some sunlight. I find the POV well chosen for the view of the skyline of the city. The fisher is well placed in the foreground. Very nice work!
Hilsen,
Lars

Hola Daniel.

Una atmósfera muy bonita esta que has captado. Me encanta. Grandes los colores y el mar con la ciudad y ese cielo está muy bien visto.

Un saludo, Oscar

bonsoir Daniel,
I like this dark view over Miami.
The atmosphere is nice, and it is very original for a Florida picture.
Very nice,
JB.

Nice way of showing the skyline Daniel, the person fishing adds a good human story to the concrete jungle in the distance.

A+ mister
