Hi John,
It's a gorgeous view, with a great pov, with all that valley occupying much of the image and the snowed peaks on the "right place". The title is much appropriate, as it shows very neatly the end of Winter. I like very much the light - it is not exactly pretty, but it is much realistic in its harshness and the pattern of shadows.

Hi John,
it is a bit like spring in the air. You can still see the ice and the colour aren't strong but the sky is telling about warmer days to come and to give power to nature. Nice view with the mountains in the background.

Bonjour John,
un hiver qui a été très froid s'en va lentement par là-bas.
Ici, à cette date nous avons eu 30°C aujourd'hui à des latitudes pas très éloignées pourtant.

Une photo amgnifique par le cadrage et le POV mais surtout par le paysage qu'elle montre.
Toujours très 'nature'.

John this is a nice shot of the ice breaking over the river. The landscape in Colorado is beautiful and immense. The mountains in the far background look very nice with their snowy peaks and the clarity of this picture is good. Thanks for sharing John.

You've got some excellent light here but I think you are in a similar situation to me here in Northern Japan where the snow is melting and the ground lacks colour for impact. Those lush greens that I know you'll be making full use of are only a couple of months away my friend!

Olá John, interesting note. This is a gorgeous landscape and it's very well composed with the diagonal of the frozen river, that is complemented by the diagonal of the background. Love the rich contrasts you have here: white snow/dark landscape and white clouds/blue sky. Such a peaceful place has a lot of dramatism in this image. Love it!
