[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is a type of Ficus, maybe from Southamerica. One of the characteristics of this kind of trees is it branches, they stast to growing roots in the branches to give it more support to the tronck and roots and this way the tree can expand better with out suffer any problem, this way it make sure it survive. Maybe we will need to be like this tree :0)

Hi Elias. A nice shot. Such roots are also called pillar roots. The old banyan trees are also seen with similar roots. TFS. Regards.

Interesting POV Elias.
I like the limb leading us into the other parts of the tree.Good note too.
Like the sunlight filtering through the branches.
TFS,regards Jean.

Linda cores, luz e sombras. Parabéns!

Grande abraço,
Vera.

Hola Elias,
Saludos,
F

Dear Elias, ... I am pretty sure that this is a "banyan tree", or Ficus Bengalensis, origin : Bengal, India !
One of the biggest can be found in the botanical garden of Kolkata (don't remember exactly its size, but it is huge !)

Anyway, this photo is impressive too, and the light is beautiful.
TFS and regards,
Cath.

Woooooww!!
Huge and impressive. It's like an octopus. The is one the great tricks of nature and yu captured it so well. The light is wonderful. The big branch-trunk leaning from the top right corner of the frame gives a perfect depth to the composition. Your POV is awesome like always :)
Ciao

Hi Elias!
Interesting tree! I like the composition with the light coming through the branches and also the way the branches touch the ground. Good work!
Regards, Anabela

Hola Elias,

Very good angle of perspective. At first I was thinking that this was the Banyon tree in Balboa Park, but then I looked more closely at the origin listed. I remember this tree too. There is one of these in Balboa Park just south of the zoo parking lot, but not as big this one.

ricardo
