Photographer's Note

So, consider this an advertisement of sorts.

Seattle is one of my favorite places on earth. It's a culturally sound, large city in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest (the most beautiful region in the States). There is a thriving music scene beyond even their famous movement of the 1990's, film festivals are a common addition to weekly programs, art walks are a loved entity and some of the best food I've ever eaten can be found in Seattle's many neighborhoods.

And then there's The Zoo.

The Zoo is a bar located in the district of East Lake. It's run by a kind biker named Pat who has owned it for nearly 30 years. The ambience is that of any other bar in the area: eclectic crowd, alternately dirty and clean tables, a bathroom with a communal urinal. But the best thing about it (other than the very cheap pints of one of the best beers in the world: Mac & Jack's African Amber) is the bevy of free games.

At The Zoo you can play darts, shuffle board and even pool for free in the daytime. There isn't a single trip I make to Seattle without spending about 3 hours in the afternoon drinking Mac & jack's and shooting free pool or tossing free darts. It's a beautiful base camp.

Anyhow, here is my little tribute to a wonderful place I would recommend to anyone.

PS: adjusted levels, deepened reds and blacks.
