Kelso Dunes in Mojave National Preserve.
This area is the largest field of eolian sand deposits in the Mojave Desert.
The Kelso Dunes are notable for the phenomenon known as singing sand, or "booming dunes". Enthusiasts typically climb to the top of the dunes and slide down slowly, generating a low-frequency rumble that can be both felt and heard. |

Hi Agnieszka,
I like your low viewpoint here and the way the lines in the sand appear to mirror the movements of the clouds in that very dramatic sky (although it perhaps gives more the sensation of crawling up the dunes than sliding down them!). Good use of the wide-angle lens.
I'm planning to visit Mojave NP in July (in spite of the heat!) so I hope to see (and hear) the dunes and singing sand for myself.
You have an impressive gallery.
John
