Not far north of Gold Beach, on the southern Oregon coast, we spotted this beach (my notes say it was Whaleshead Rock, but Google doesn't agree, so let's leave as "southern Oregon"). As was true for much of the coastal trip, it was cold, wet and foggy, so I tried to capture that feeling in this shot.
Technical: In RAW, Exposure +.15, Blacks 14, Brightness +63, Contrast +48, Vibrance +72. In CS3, Curves, Hue/Saturation, and low-level Noiseware reduction. |

Hi Daniel,
Like the atmosphere here. The fog adds to to, nicely done.
Regards,
Shaeri
This is GOOD, Dan.
Misty, moody, oozing Oregon all the way!
Great atmospheric shot from a great point of view, brilliant display of greens and light management.
I ought to get my butt back up in there at some point, I've been missing the Pacific NW...
Keep 'em coming, buddy.
Have a great day, I'll see ya soon.
Fulvio.
It is a very nice landscape with good light in the foreground and a very clear background in spite of the fog. Well done.
Antonio

I don't know how I missed this one. When I look at this it really brings back great memories. Really an awesome picture. I love the fog!! TFS and have a great day!
Daniel,
I see what you meant in the critique that you wrote for my latest post. Yeap, you also got a lot of fog ... and you kept the image in colors although the conversion to B&W could have been a interesting option.
