What ???
You couldn't get any closer or what ?
The whole trick dear Kristaps is to get the fire from inside...!
It's so called " In photography'...
You should have known better...
Still, incredibly impressive , but...
I'd prefer the 'insider' much better than this ...
Love bro, love and flame
g.
Jesus!! where did you capture this!! btw the Red tones are so great, I don't know how did you make it so vivid and real. When I try to push reds in PS everything is sc...ing up the colour floods in my RAWs.
My congrats Kristaps,
Many Regards my friend

now THIS is something from witch trials, right? :) the screen of the laptop is burning, the temperature in the room is rising - fantastic shot! the flames feel 3D, and the exposure is spot on. this photo deserves to be printed as a really huge poster, very impressive.
hugs,
K.
Hi Kristaps.
Excellent colours and details of those flames. Contrasts are very good as well as the texture. It's getting hot in here!
Well done!
Best regards
Denis!

Hi Krsutaps,
very interesting image, and impressive the power of fire. Great quality of image too.
Congratulations and Hug
Kristaps, interesting what a little contention will spark. I think the other one was great and this one is even better but it is a different shot. The detail of this wildly moving flame is awesome, great job, again.

Sveiks Kristaps,
Absolutely astonishing quality you have rendered in this image of the high temperature flames — recorded by a skillful photographer with a surpassing camera. The pagan bones never die. In Central America where we just returned from, the descendants of the Maya — themselves pure Maya — practice Catholicism foisted upon them by the Conquistadors, but still maintain remnants of their ancient cultures and religion. Also in East Asia, the same person might abide by Buddhism, Shintoism, and Christianity. You can't be too safe by bowing to different gods. Who knows!
Superb shot, what Leonardo would have commented about, "You just need to observe... and ponder... and the commonplace will become wondrous, and the wondrous commonplace."
Warm regards,
Bulent
Hi Kristaps,
Are you sure it didn't ruin your lens?? ;) So much heat! so much drama. I like the abstract look on this shot. Very good shot my friend.

Hi, Kristaps -
You'll burn for this, you know - not for the picture, but for misspelling my name! Arrrgghhhhh!
Other than that... In this case the flames are indeed the right color and brightness; you'll notice that nothing is blown out, so the exposure is very well done (even if you didn't post the exif data). Very dramatic and compelling. Unbelievably good quality in the details.
Best,
Dan
Hi Kristaps,
admittedly not my can of beer, but so what!?
I'd like to think y'all took PROPER CARE to safely stash them beers WAY from the fire... did you?
And I also appreciate the amount of detail you've been able to capture without turning your Nikon into a piece of charred plastic lingering on your fingers, he he!
Oh well, I'm in a mischievous mood again, for a change... but I like what I see!
Have a great day, I'll see ya soon.
Cheers,
Fulvio.

Hey Kristaps,
Geeezzz your image burns the hell out of me! Something destructive and scary can be so overwhelmingly powerful and looks great in picture! Normally we like to see the fiery glowing of its orange flame but this one has it's life, the different tones, the character the flame exudes, the rage showing its details...scorging yet amazingly captured!
Cheers!
Jom
Ey don't play with fire OK? take care ;)
Interesting to read about the traditions and how they have been brought so far round the world. I don't think I have seen such a well exposed image of fire before. It is truly amazing but then with a D300 I shouldn't be surprised. I pushed back my chair and can see all kinds of pictures in the flames. The picture of your son is excellent and am sure you could have posted it as a main without mentioning it was your son. I like the previous post too of the people watching. As it's about the people I don't mind the oe in the flames there, and think the original version is much more natural than the WS.
Good work

Hi Krisaps,
I've never seen fire captured so well, and from the looks of your comments, many others share my opinion...LOVE the fact that it's jpeg and I agree with you about the glass. It does make a difference, it sure is hard to lug around though. The picture almost overwhelms your very interesting note. How interesting that it's a bigger celebration than christmas!!
