Painted Rock
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Walking on the beach near Bandon, on the southern Oregon coast, I saw this rock, with its colors (probably from bacteria?) all bright and shiny from being still wet. I was inspired by Morac's occasional abstract color shots to see what I could do with this one. TE rules prevented me from distorting it, though, which would have made it even more interesting.
Technical: In RAW, Exposure -.30, Blacks 21, Contrast +25, Clarity 100, Vibrance +43. In CS3, Noiseware reduction. Unsharp Mask 95%, 6.6 pixels, 12 threshold. Cropped to square format. |

Hi Daniel,
interesting rocky formation and mosaic of colours... I think colours of this rock are a result of mineral diversity within the rock. Red parts include probably more iron. Good details.
Best regards,
Andrzej
PS. I did workshop to get more contrast.
