Or make that take 202....

I was showing an official visitor from France around San Francisco today, in spite of the fog. When we got to the Golden Gate bridge (EVERYbody wants to come here), I got out my camera to see what I could do with it. This is one result; there may be more.

Technical: Bit of cropping, Noiseware Professional reduction. I made a Curves adjustment layer, played with the curves, then set opacity to 75% and blending mode to lighten. Seemed to work.

Hi Dan,

This is an excellent compositon. The fog does make the image more interesting and create a feeling of mystery on such landmark. Nice point of view to capture the pattern of wires. The depth of field works very well here and the colours look good. Thanks Dan.

Roberto

Hello Dan,
Altuough we have seen many of Golden Gate pictures, this one looks more mysterious and interesring by the help of the fog and your POV. The DOF is really nice as well. Tfs.

Barkan

Bonjours,

hello, daniel

a nice side-effect of taking a foreign guest to a traditional hallmark ;)) i like the fading suspension cable rhythm in the far background. the foreground ones look like a harp. a pleasing, well executed shot.

Hello Daniel!
Golden Gate is one of the bridges in the world I still want to know (and I will!).
It's a very photofriendly construction and I'd say that it'd hardly be ugly in a picture!
In this one, the mood you've created with the misty weather is just perfect, and, although we only see parts of the bridge, it's even more impressive, attractive and beautiful!
TFS - Congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
