Photographer's Note

The sheep raised on the land that is now Mungo NP were raised for wool. This photo is of the old sheep yards outside the shearing shed. It was taken from within the shed. This is where the sheep went to after shearing.
The fencing is of the classic old post and rail style and built using durable local timber.
The thin white ridge in the right background is a line of sandhills.
I'm not sure what the very green patch is - probably the site of an old bore eading to moisture in the soil.
