Super Moon, a photo from New South Wales, Est

Photographer's Note

The rising super moon over western Sydney on 6 May 2012. Two shots merged together to get the correct exposure ballance. The yellow colour and slight distortion on the moon is due to the hazy atmosphere above Sydney.
This was taken from University Western Sydney looking east along the Great Western Highway using my Sigma 150-500mm zoon.

Hello Chris,
Amazing capture! We didn't get to see the super moon here in NYC because it was very cloudy and even raining a bit. I love the size of this moon, and the clarity is great. I also like your presentation, with the line of cars on the left side of the frame.

Hi Chris,

i learned too late about this special day for moon or maybe there were clouds, anyway, I haven't seen the supermoon. Fantastic effect.

Hi Chris,
A very impressive moon photo. The telephoto does a great job here, showing details on the moon, and the street lights and car lights look good on the left. Good job of merging the two shots.

What a fantastic colour yellow contrasting well with the drak grey sky. That yellow kind of makes me believe the moon really is made of cheese! Nicely composed with the moon off in the upper third. Nice to see you provide info about the lens too - it kind of helps when you are thinking about buying another yourself given the image it produces.
