Photographer's Note

Normally the Victoria Bridge in the bg is floodlit completely under white illumination, but in the lead up to Christmas New Year they have added red and green to go with the colors of mistletoe and holly. The overall effect now is a string of Italian flags across the bridge, amplified in the reflection. The bridge was completed in 1969. At right is the State Government office block, nicknamed the 'Tower of Power' Including the unlit triangular section at the top. It is currently the tallest skyscraper in Brisbane, at 259.8 metres (852 feet). But not for long. A 90 level 270 metre building is under construction. Brisbane Skytower already has a nickname as the "bon-bon" even though it's only half finished.
