Photographer's Note

To the south of Winton in central west Queensland is Bladensburg national park. It used to be a sheep station but in recent years the old native vegetation and landscape has been allowed to redevelop.
This is one of many extensive dry clay pans and a bit cracked due to the drought but when it rains the water just runs off and doen't soak in so areas like this were never good for grazing sheep.
