Photographer's Note

A couple of weeks ago we took a stroll though the inner west Sydney areas of Ultimo and Chippendale. Along the way we passed renowned modern architect Frank Gehry's only Australian building. It is within the grounds of Sydney Universtity of Technology and was opened in 2015.
It isn't as flamboyant as places like the MIT Ray and Maria Stata Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts or the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao but it does have Gehry's distinctive curves and irregularities everywhere. Unlike most of his buildings it is finished in bricks. The bricks come from brickworks in Bowral, the neighbouring town to where I live.

Best in the large view.
