Photographer’s Note
Driftwood at the mouth of the Serpentine River contrasts with an early summer sky over the waters of the Peel Inlet. The new D90 pairs very well with the Nikon 18-70 lens.

My dear chap,
Your first post with your new camera, congratulations on having seen the light.
That is one hell of a piece of driftwood, I'd hate to run into that at twenty knots, ouch!!!
Good composition, you've filled the frame with this interesting subject and let that wonderful sky fill in the rest.
Sharps are excellent (what else would you expect from such a piece of kit), the shot looks terrific.
Nice one old boy, now go back to bingo, or whatever it is you do over there.
Best regards
Pete

Hi Jeff
Thats an amazing sky, little puffy clouds with what looks like tails. Nice overall composition, must have had some strong winds there to rip those trees out of the ground roots and all.
Good work TFS

Hi Jeff,
Beautiful sunny ocean view from a secluded beach. That piece of driftwood is an excellent main object. I like those funny looking clouds too.
